Richard Armand Robertson 86, of Globe Ariz., passed away on Sept. 3, 2018 at Haven Healthcare, Globe Arizona in the presence his wife and children. He was born on Oct. 12, 1931 in San Diego, Calif. He is the son of Jesse Jewell (Tomlinson) and George Leland Robertson.
He worked as a tank operator in the tank house for Miami Inspiration Consolidated Copper Company and retired after 25 years of employment.
He enjoyed watching his beloved Diamondback’s and cooking. He served his country proudly in the United States Army beginning in the Korean War and continuing for 30 years with combined active service and in the National Guard.
He is preceded in death by his parents Jessie and George Robertson and is survived by his wife Gloria Robertson; son Paul Robertson of San Francisco, Calif.; daughter Gloria Jean “Jeannie” Robertson of Mesa, Ariz.; his sisters Pat Brown of Grants Pass Ore., Karen Eggiman of Portland, Ore., three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Sunday, Sept. 16 from 9-10 a.m. at Lamont Mortuary Chapel with funeral services immediately after. The internment will follow at the Globe Cemetery at the conclusion of the services.
