Robert “Skip” Urban

MIAMI - Robert “Skip” Urban, 78,  passed away peacefully at home with his wife by his side, Friday, Jan. 10 after a long battle with MSA (Multiple Systems Atrophy).

   Mr. Urban was born June 15, 1941, in Bensonville, Illinois, a son of Robert and Gwendolyn Urban. He was raised in Rochester, Minnesota. Following graduation from John Marshall High School he served in the U.S. Navy.  Mr. Urban came to Arizona in 1967 where he began his long standing career in the mining industry.     

   Mr. Urban is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Charles Urban.  

Surviving are his wife of 50 years Manuela “Nellie” Urban and his two daughters, Rima Urban-Tarango (Carlos), Wendy Davis (Rod), and grandson Calvin Davis. Brother and Sister In-Law Freddy and Ernestine Arteaga nephews, Christopher and Sean.  Brother and Sister In-Law Tony and Esther Sanchez, nieces Anissa and Tonia.  Brother and Sister In-Law George and Christy Rocha, nephew Alex and niece Angela. Sister in Law Katy Urban and extended family nieces Heather and Shannon. 

Funeral services will be held at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church, 844 Sullivan Street in Miami, Ariz. on Saturday, Jan. 25.  Visitation will be held at 9 a.m., Rosary Service at 9:30 a.m., followed by funeral mass at 10 a.m. 

Interment will be held at Pinal Cemetery Central Heights.  

Luncheon will follow at the Bullion Plaza Gym Hall.
