The San Carlos Apache Culture Center Museum has received a grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services in the amount of $82,731. The grant involves a project to work on San Carlos Apache Clans.

Some of the activities of the Project is to take San Carlos Apache Tribal members back to their clan homelands and rediscover the plants and foods of the clan homeland. It will also stage Apache Clan Workshops in all of the four districts of the reservation, and have a conference on clans to close out the Project. A video recording of all the activities will be made to use in continuing to learn about the Apache Clans and for archival purposes.

The Project will begin when the San Carlos Apache Tribe safely reopens the operations of the tribe.
