Posted

Protect yourself and your loved ones against ID theft. Don’t miss a free presentation hosted by Gila County Sheriff’s Office investigators on Wednesday Aug. 11 at 9 a.m. in the Miami Senior Center. Those who attend will learn the recent history of identity theft and how this became a trend in crime, and hear simple steps to prevent becoming a victim - such as signs and signals that indicate the possibility of identity theft - and steps to take if you discover you have become a victim.

Presenters are Gila County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Raymond Fulton, a special investigator with 25 years of experience and an extensive and successful history tracking down ID theft, retail theft, forgery, gangs, stolen property recovery and background investigations; and Deputy Chris McGroarty, the GCSO’s Professional Standards Investigator with 13 years of experience in his field, dealing with residential burglaries and identity theft cases.
