Take Back Day helps dispose of 62 pounds of unwanted medications

The Copper Basin Coalition partnering with the Globe Police Department and Fry’s would like to thank everyone who participated in the National Prescription Take Back Day, Saturday, Oct. 26 at Fry’s in Globe. Together they were able to dispose of over 62 pounds of unwanted or expired medication.

This is a continued effort to keep unused and expired medication out of our water systems, landfills and out of the hands of children. The Globe and Miami Police department have drug drop boxes available to the public 24 hours a day. Watch for the next National Prescription Drug Take Back Day in April 2020.
