Talk and Tour at State Capitol Museum

GLOBE/PHOENIX — The Gila County Historical Museum has scheduled a “Tour and Talk” at the Arizona State Capitol Museum on Saturday, Feb. 10. 

Participants will meet at the Gila County Historical Museum and leave at 8 a.m. to car pool to the State Capitol Museum in Phoenix. 

They will be met in the Rotunda for a presentation on Arizona history and information about the museum. 

The Capitol Museum is housed in the  Arizona State Territorial Capitol and features 20 exhibits located on four floors, including an Arizona State Flag created from 113,998 Lego bricks, one brick for  each square mile in the state, and artifacts from the USS Arizona. 

Other exhibits include Minerals of Arizona’s Historic Mining Communities, Arizona Takes Shape, and the Historic House Chamber. 

After the tour, participants will be free to enjoy lunch at one of the nearby restaurants. 

There is no charge for the event, but the State Capitol Museum would appreciate a donation.
