Posted

The 10th Annual Easter Parade in downtown Globe takes place on Saturday, March 31 with festivities from 10 a.m. to noon.

The Easter Parade is based on the classic holiday movie and song with the old tradition of taking a stroll to welcome spring.

Think hats, parasols, finery and fun. Dress to impress for this walking parade/stroll down and around historic Broad Street.

Participants promenade from the train depot museum to walk the sidewalks, earning spendable tickets from merchants and passers-by along the way, with the destination of the Center for the Arts/Jail Courtyard for some spendable fun and a light Easter party.

Check-in and raffle basket entry is between 9:30 and 10 a.m. at the train depot museum, 230 S. Broad St. The walking stroll starts at about 10 a.m.

Find the Easter Bunny and his friends throughout the event ready for free photo ops and participate in the scavenger hunt, for more spendable tickets.

The Easter party and Easter Store in the alleyway courtyard ends at about noon.

The Easter Parade/Stroll takes place rain or shine, and is sponsored by the Globe Downtown Association/Historic Globe Main Street Program and is free to the public.
