Theodore James Spradling

Posted

Our beloved Theodore James Spradling (a.k.a. Ted and Papa) was taken from us suddenly, at the young age of 57, on Oct. 31, 2021. The family is deeply saddened by his death. He is survived by his devoted wife of 35 years, Barbie; their two amazing children Brittany Elissa Spradling (AJ) and Ryan James Spradling; and his absolute best friend in life, his granddaughter Bryerlie-Noah Faith. He leaves behind his sister Debbie (Greg), his brother Tim, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Carole and Floyd Spradling, and his sisters Donna and Terri.

He graduated from Miami High School in 1982. He worked in the semi-conductor industry for Clean Room Plastics in Chandler, Arizona for many years. He just recently started working for Entegris, Inc., in Chandler.

He truly had a heart of gold. He always had an open door for anyone who needed a friend to talk to or just needed someone to listen. He could make anyone laugh, even if they were having a rough day. His favorite pastime was to be in the woods, where the air was fresh, and he could listen to birds chirping, the rustling of leaves and the wind blowing. And of course, listening for any elk, antelope, deer, javelina, rabbit, squirrel or dove. On the weekends he loved having early morning coffee with Barbie, sitting outside watching the sunrise in their back yard while planning their day of events. During football and hockey season, he would be cheering for the Pittsburgh Steelers and Penguins. His genuine smile, his laugh and, most of all, his big teddy bear “squeezer” hugs will be truly missed by everyone.

A very special thank you to all who have reached out to our family and have helped us during this difficult time. It means the world to us. Ted leaves behind many dear friends and family whom he was very close to and shared a very unique and special family bond. May God give you peace in your hearts as he lives on in our memories.
