Town of Miami thanks everyone who attended the Miami Veterans Day 2019 Celebration

The Town of Miami wishes to thank everyone who was in attendance at the Miami Veterans Memorial Park Veterans Day 2019 Celebration. We are especially grateful for all the participants celebrating this annual patriotic event. The parade was well attended with nine entries, and as always the faithful Globe High School JROTC Honor Guard presented the flags as well as demonstrating the moving retirement-burning of-a well worn American Flag. Also, the always faithful Miami High School Band and choir performed flawlessly as well as the playing of Taps during the presentation of the Honor Wreath. The Honor Wreath was presented by this years guest speaker, Marine Corps Veteran and Miami P.D. Officer Richard Shaw, and lifelong Miami resident Beatrice (Bee) Cordero who closed the event with a patriotic prayer. Again, many thanks to all those that supported this annual patriotic event, and a special thanks to the town employees for their support.
