Travis A. Williams, age 94, of Globe passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2018 at Heritage Healthcare Center in Globe. He was born in DeKalb, Texas on April 23, 1å924 the son of Nathan A. and Roxie A. (Maxey) Williams. He was the last of nine children. He worked as an auto mechanic before retiring. In his younger years he enjoyed the outdoors going fishing and hunting. He served his country proudly in the U.S Army with the 3159th Signal Service battalion and was honorably discharge on Aug. 23, 1946.
Preceded in death by his parents Nathan and Roxie Williams, his daughters Linda F. Button and Sara “Elaine” Cahill. Travis is survived by his wife Laura (Mora) Williams, his children Gail Aneas and Travis E. Williams and 12 grandchildren.
Graveside Service will take place at the National Memorial Veterans Cemetery with military honors on Thursday, Oct. 11, 2018 at 12:30 p.m.
