Tri-City Fired District Invites Public to Open House

CLAYPOOL — Tri-City Fire District will hold its annual open house at its Claypool station on Saturday, October 14 from 10 am to 2 pm. Help Tri-City celebrate another year of service to the community and raise awareness about fire safety! Tri-city will have firefighting vehicles, equipment, and helicopters open for families to explore. There will be raffles, giveaways, goodie bags, plus hamburgers, hot dogs, and drinks.

 This year, the Gila County Public Health Department and the Miami High School Anti-Tobacco squad will be at the open house with pig lungs to demonstrate healthy lungs. The will also have tobacco “quit kits” and other resources available. The health department along with Copper Basin Coalition will also be presenting information on naloxone (the drug that can reverse an opioid overdose) and will have their naloxone “recovery kits” available.
