Both former and current cadets with the Globe High School Army JROTC Battalion presented Major (Ret.) Sal Fiorella and First Sgt. Raymond Dakos with the “Unsung Hero” award during its annual military ball, held Friday, March 22 at Dream Manor Inn, Globe.
Fiorella received the award “in recognition and sincere appreciation for seven years of distinguished service as lead Army Instructor for the Globe High School Army JROTC. ... Your endless dedication and diligence to the program and all of us. Sir, we salute you. Hooah.”
Dakos also received the Unsung Hero award for his “support and guidance that helped in leading our paths to success. With much appreciation and gratitude, we salute you. Hooah.”
This year’s annual ball also paid memorial tribute to former Cadets Ronnie Attaway and Ashley Sanchez.
