Volunteers needed for Feb. 11 ‘Trash Mob’ cleanup

Posted

Join local families, companies, and City of Globe and US Forest Service staff for the next ‘Trash Mob’ community cleanup Saturday morning, February 11; dozens of volunteers are needed.

Saturday’s meetup spot is the US Forest Service Globe Ranger Station. The group will meet at 8 a.m., with convenient drive-up check-in where you’ll be given trash bags and assigned to various areas such as Pipeline, Russell Road and more. Organizers suggest cleanup volunteers bring their own gloves. Trash bags will be provided - though you’re also welcome to bring your own, extending the supply of trash bags for these events. And please mark your calendar for additional spring dates - March 11, April 8 and May 13. Partners in these cleanups include the Cathy Sanchez-Cañez Memorial Foundation, Capstone Mining, the US Forest Service Globe Ranger Station and the City of Globe.
