The Women’s Auxiliary to the Society of Mining Engineers (WAAIME)-Pinal Mountain Section, awarded a scholarship in the amount of $1,000 to Kelsey Jensen, a fourth-year student majoring in geology at Southern Utah University. WAAIME-Pinal Section has scholarship funds available for candidates in mining related majors who are residents of the Copper Corridor. The group is pleased to assist Kelsey with funding to further her education. Kelsey is the daughter of Neal and Kathy Jensen of the local area. Presenting the check were Mary Anne Moreno, president of the section, Joanne Zache, section treasurer, Toni Ann Wantland, scholarship chair and members Marilynn Rasmussen and Ramona Barreras.
