William “Bill” J. McDaniel, age 81 of Globe, Arizona, passed away on March 16, 2018 at Hospice of the Valley in Tempe, Arizona.
Bill was born in Linden, Texas on Oct. 4, 1936 to John Willy and LelaBelle McDaniel.
Bill married Betty Knueppel in 1964. They lived in Arizona, Wyoming and South Dakota during their marriage and raised five children, Eddie, Billy, Richard, Ronnie and Robin.
He worked as a diesel mechanic in the mining industry throughout his life, retiring from Phelps Dodge in Morenci Arizona in 2000.
Bill’s friends and family will agree his passion in life was hunting and fishing and fishing and hunting and his love of Golden Retrievers.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents and daughter Robin.
He is survived by Betty, his wife of 54 years, sons Eddie (Laura), of Globe, Arizona; Billy (Nancy), of Waverly, Nebraska; Richard (Dreamia), of Hamilton, Ohio; Ronnie, of Morenci Arizona; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren. and two Golden Retrievers Katie (12) and Buddy.
