Alice Lee (McGowan) Todd passed away on March 11, 2019 in Mesa, Ariz. Alice was born on May 18, 1932 to Alice (Stroeker) and Clifford McGowan in Shreveport, La. She grew up in Mobile, Ala., where she graduated from Murphy High School in 1949. Alice moved to Globe after she married Norman Ray Todd on Nov. 28, 1952, and she found a true sense of community here.

Alice and Norman raised four children together. She was the glue that held their family together, supporting Norman in his work at Inspiration Consolidated Copper Company, using thrift and hard work to make ends meet during the strikes, and always commemorating special occasions. She was an avid reader, a dedicated bowler, a talented artist and seamstress, a formidable board game player, and a committed member of First Church of Christ/Central Christian Church. She was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.

Alice leaves behind three daughters, Carol Cramer, Cindy Gregory and her husband Keith, and Susan Todd and her partner Billy Ritchie, and one son, Robin Todd and his wife Karen. She will also be dearly missed by her 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Alice was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Norman, her parents, Alice and Clifford, and her two brothers, Jack and Robert.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 6 at Central Christian Church, 390 E. Sycamore St. in Globe, Ariz.

The family was assisted by Bulman Miles Funeral Home Globe.
