Della joined our Heavenly Father and went home on Feb. 19, 2019 at the young age of 79.
Della was born in Amarillo, Texas to Fred and Louise Goss, on Nov. 8, 1939. Della was the oldest daughter of 10 children. Della and her family moved to Arizona in 1952, where she met and married the love of her life, Roy Wakefield.
Della worked at the Mighty Nice Bakery until they closed down, and then became a homemaker. She loved to spend time with her family, mostly her grandkids and her great-grandkids. She loved to have family get togethers for BBQ so she could enjoy her time with her grandkids and great-grandkids.
Della is preceded in death by her parents Fred and Louise Goss, her husband Roy Wakefield, and several of her siblings.
Della leaves behind her only child Kathy Riley; her siblings Freddie (Pauline) Goss, Bill (Marci) Goss, Kenny Goss, Sharron (Steve) Tarron, Estelline Pinkerton and Lynn (Bill) Shaffer; four grandkids, Renee (Danny) Albo, Jessica (Travis) Moul, Brandon (Kayla) Warren and Michael Riley; 11 great-grandkids, and two great-great-grandkids.
Memorial Services for Della will be March 1, 2019 at Living Waters Church 125 Haskins Rd., Globe, at 11:30 a.m.
There will be a potluck luncheon after, feel free to bring a covered dish.
