Frank ‘Pancho’ R. Estrada

Frank “Pancho” R. Estrada, age 69, a lifelong resident of Globe, Arizona, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 23, 2018 with his loving family by his side. He was born on Oct. 30, 1948 to his beloved parents, Gilbert and Aida Estrada, in Douglas, Arizona and attended high school there. Frank worked as a smelter supervisor for 37 years for Phelps Dodge, Inspiration and Freeport McMoRan. He also served his country proudly for six years in the Army Reserves.

Frank loved sports and he was an avid Green Bay Packers and Arizona Diamondbacks fan. He also enjoyed watching his children and his grandchildren play sports and going on fishing and camping trips with them.

He is preceded in death by his beloved father, Gilbert Estrada and his two sisters, Yolanda Alvarado and Terry Llanez.

Frank is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Frances Leyva Estrada, his loving and caring mother, Aida Saavedra, his loving and caring children, Adriane (Jose) Dorame, Frank A. Estrada, Mark (Angela) Estrada; his loving and caring brothers, Gilbert (Sylvia) Estrada and Rene (Bertha) Estrada; his loving and caring sisters, Estella (David) Morales, Letty Estrada, Lydia (Dirk) Gibbons and Lucy Verovich; 17 beautiful grandchildren; 12 beautiful great-grandchildren and many wonderful nieces and nephews.

He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
