Marcus Jake Teague Jr., 65 of Globe, Ariz., was born September 12, 1954 in Globe, Ariz. Passed away May 1, 2020 in Globe, Ariz.

Mark lived most of his life in Globe. He loved sports. He played baseball starting with Little League, Babe Ruth and in Jr/Sr High School. Mark started playing football as a freshman linebacker and running back. He was a Varsity defense halfback, quarterback and Team Captain. He was on the wrestling team his Junior/Senior years. Played basketball his Freshman and Sophomore years.

As an adult he played on several men’s baseball/football leagues. He was also a team roper for a time.

Mark worked for several Copper Mines and Construction companies. In 1983 he went to work for the Globe Police Department as a dispatcher while attending the academy to become a police officer. He served as a Globe Police officer and Detective until he retired in 2006. Shortly after retiring from the Globe Police Department, Marcus went to work for the Gila County Sheriff’s Office, retiring from there in 2019.

Marcus was preceded in death by his first born son Craig Tyson Teague, Father Marcus Jake Teague Sr., Mother Patsy Parson Teague and sister Debbie Teague.

Marcus is survived by his brother Leo Teague (Vickie), daughter Wendy Teague, son Brett Teague, grandchildren Devon Gladen and Abby Gladen.

Marcus will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.

Graveside services will be held Sunday May 17, 2020 at 10 a.m. at the Central Heights Cemetery.
