Willa Jean Marcanti, affectionately known as Willie by family and friends, passed from this Earth on Saturday, April 16 in Young, Arizona at the age of 69. Born Sept. 4, 1952, in Boonville, Missouri to Frances Merriott and Mancil Jobe, Willie grew up as one of six children and spent much of her younger life in Lexington, Missouri.

In her early 20s she moved to Arizona with family and eventually settled in Globe, where she met her future husband, John. Willie and John had a great love that few people get to experience in their lifetimes. Together they had two children, Scott and Andrea.

Willie was employed by Golden Eagle Distributors in Globe for over 25 years. She was well known for her infectious laugh and her honest, relatable nature. She had a knack for making and keeping friends, and collected many lifelong friendships throughout her years.

Willie never forgot a birthday. She always went out of her way for her family and friends, and made sure they were remembered on Christmas and special occasions.

She was an amazing cook and developed a reputation for learning and mastering the Marcanti family ravioli recipe. She loved to entertain and enjoyed a game or two of poker when she could. She was a hard worker and liked to stay busy. She loved watching her Kansas City Chiefs play and never missed a Phoenix Suns game.

Willie was a one-of-a-kind human being who always put others before herself. She will be forever missed by all who knew and loved her.
