Carl Ray Besner was born Oct. 24, 1930 in Miami, Arizona to Dorothy and William Besner. Carl passed away April 10, 2023 in Sandy, Utah. Carl married Shirley Bowden on Oct. 10, 1958 in Globe, Arizona. They celebrated 64 years of marriage in 2022.
Carl served in the Army during the Korean War. He worked for the copper mines in Arizona. After moving to Utah in 1974, he worked various jobs, retiring at age 62 as a forklift mechanic.
Those missing him are his wife Shirley, children Karla, Jaynee and Bill (Donna), 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Private interment services were held at Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery, Sandy, Utah.
