Food & hygiene drive June 29

Gila County Public Health and Community Services teams up again with the Homeless Coalition of Cobre Valley and volunteers to collect supplies for low income and homeless people during a ‘drive-through-and-drop-off’ event June 29 from 8 a.m. - 12 p.m. in Claypool (4247 Broadway: please drive in on the side of the Tri-City Fire Department). Nonperishable food and hygiene items requested include canned soup/stew, peanut butter, canned fruits/veggies, bottled water, canned chicken/tuna, canned beans, packaged snacks (granola bars, seeds, chips, etc.), canned ravioli, Vienna sausage, Ritz crackers (individual packages), ready-to-eat rice, Spam, jerky sticks, potted meat, can openers, toothpaste, shampoo, toilet paper, lotion, lip balm, socks, and feminine hygiene products. Donations by cash and check are also welcome. Coalition volunteers meet on the first and third Tuesday of the month at 5:30 p.m. at Divine Grace Presbyterian Church, located at 305 W. Live Oak St. in Miami, AZ.
