Jennie Greenwall

Posted

Jennie (McRae) Greenwall was born June 19, 1935, in her parent’s adobe house located in St. David, Arizona.  She was the first-born child of Parley Kenneth McRae and Edith Margaret (Miller) McRae.  The angels came to take her home to our Heavenly Father on Aug. 27, 2024.  We will miss Jennie but rejoice at her reunion with those who have gone before her; parents Parley and Edith, loving husband and eternal partner Harry Greenwall, loving granddaughter Bethany, and other family and friends.

Jennie was a deeply devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.  Her greatest gift to all was displaying her love for them; warmly accepting each new member into her family.  Her life was always one with the heart of a mother, raising not only her own children but significantly contributing to the raising of her siblings and grandchildren.  One of her last acts in this world was holding and loving on her youngest great-great-grandson.  The scrumptious meals she prepared frequently fed more than just her husband and children, with her cooking making every birthday and holiday memorable.

Amid homemaking and mothering activities Jennie demonstrated a love for music, both playing the piano and listening to old records, including one recorded by her grandfather.  She enjoyed older movies and TV series, and was apt at card games, doing crosswords and assembling puzzles.  Through the years she attended to her gardens and yard.  She cared for and loved numerous dogs, cats, and other pets.  She applied herself to sewing, quilting and needle work.  As an active learner, Jennie frequently read books and magazine articles, particularly enjoying gardening and wildlife books and the Arizona Highways magazine.

Mother, we your children love and will miss you; Kenneth (Lynn) Greenwall, Tina Greenwall, Danny Greenwall, George Greenwall, Sarah McAdams, and Larry Greenwall,  along with your 26 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren.

Memorial Services for Jennie Greenwall will be held Sept. 28, 2024 at 11 a.m. within the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Miami ward - 4247 E. Broadway, Claypool, AZ).  In lieu of flowers we ask that donations be made to M.A.D.D. (Mothers Against Drunk Drivers).

Family is being assisted by Bulman Miles Funeral Services Globe.
