Joy Denise Philpot, age 69, of Globe, Arizona, passed away on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona.
She was born in Hawthorne, Nevada on Dec. 3, 1953, to Charles and Joy Ashcraft.
Joy was raised and attended school in Hawthorne, Nevada. She worked as a registered nurse at Cobre Valley Regional Medical Center, Heritage of Globe, Gila General, Home Health, Hospice and San Carlos Hospital, and she did many travel assignments.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, Bunco friends and nursing friends. Joy also enjoyed traveling.
Joy is preceded in death by her husband Nolan Philpot, her parents Joy and Charles Ashcraft, and her son Jeffrey Burke.
She is survived by her son James (Tina) Burke Jr., daughter Nichole (Jason) Salcido, sisters Charlotte Harman and Christine Ferguson, 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
