Mark Edward Lopez passed away peacefully at home on April 12, 2023, at the age of 49. Mark was born Aug. 7, 1973, in Globe, Arizona. He was the youngest of two children born to his parents, Ernie and Lupe Lopez. He grew up in Globe and graduated from Globe High School in 1991.

Mark has been a dedicated construction worker for the past 30 years, with his current job working for MLC service as a supervisor.

Mark had a love for horses and has participated in rodeo events around Arizona, even winning a few belt buckles he has been proud to wear. He also enjoyed listening to music and being outdoors, riding dirt bikes and 4-wheelers when he could. He was loved by so many including his co-workers, friends and family. Everyone loved his witty sense of humor. He could always put a smile on your face.

Mark’s heart was filled with love when his daughter Ashley was born in 1996. He loved spending time with her, making her laugh and taking her to Globe for some quality family time spent with his parents. He was so proud to be her Dad.

Mark is survived by his daughter Ashley Lopez (Anderson), his dad Ernie Lopez, his brother Ernie Lopez Jr., his nephews Kaiden, Zavian and Easton, and his niece Locklynn.

He is preceded in death by his mother Lupe Lopez, and grandparents Juanita Avila, Tony Avila and Victoria Lopez. Mark will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Services were held on Friday, April 21 at 9 a.m., at Holy Angels Catholic Church in Globe. Rosary was at 9:30 a.m. and services at 10 a.m. Burial followed at the Globe cemetery. After the service there was a lunch provided at the Elks.
