Randolph Wayne Roberts passed peacefully at his home, with his wife by his side, on March 14, 2023. He was born April 5, 1934, in Quinton, Oklahoma. Wayne was 6 years old when the family moved to Arizona. He was the youngest of 5 children. He attended Globe schools till 1953. He met the love of his life Barbara Jean Aneas from Miami. He enlisted in the Navy and served 4 years plus 4 years in the Navy Reserves. While he was in the Navy, Barbara traveled with him as much as she could. They were married after he graduated bootcamp, Sept. 5, 1953. They recently celebrated their 69th anniversary.

Wayne, as he was called, worked at the local mines and with construction companies as a pipefitter-welder. He loved his job and all the partners he worked with on the job. He didn’t especially like retirement as he was so used to working. He tried staying busy and finally got used to it. Wayne loved all sports, such as hunting, fishing, riding his motor cycle, which he built from scratch, and in the day, he loved racing stockcars. His name was Fireball Roberts.

He had 2 daughters that gave him 7 grandchildren: Vicki (James) Querns, Stacy (Darin) North, Kim Fulbright, Jackie Gillum, Kendall (Sheryl) Cormack, Christopher Cormack, and Paul Chapman. 13 great-grandchildren: Jason (Savannah) Holguin, Ryan (Veronica) Holguin, Candyce (Gunner) Goodman, Cortnie Stanneart, Dallas (Ryen) Stanneart, Taryn, Kamryn and Baylee North, Brayden and Mackenzie Gillum, Kaylynn Fulbright, Kachedon and Katalina Cormack. He also had 8 great-great and 5 generations: Adelyne Goodman, Jazzlynn and Jocelynn Holguin, Maverick and Charlotte Holguin, Rennington and Hazel Goodman and Noah Stanneart.

He is survived by his wife Barbara Jean Roberts, daughters Joan Cormack and Terri (Jack) Stanneart and brother Don Roberts. With a lot of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents: David and Nellie Roberts, Gene - Don Jackson, Dean-Don Deal, Joyce-Dan Foley, one granddaughter Kimberly Robin Fulbright. We all loved him very much. He was the best husband, father, grandfather ever. He will be greatly missed. We look forward to seeing him again.
